The Evolution of e-Business in the Metal Industry: Case Studies in Taiwan

The metal industry has an essential role for industrial economy. It has complicated supply chains and composed of enterprises with various scales and characteristics. The main purposes of this paper are to propose an e-Business evolving model and to use it as basis to assess the use of e-Business in the Taiwan metal sector. Case studies are introduced to serve as references for the companies to implement e-Business projects. From the previous survey and the case studies, this research also proposes two strategies for further e-Business applications in Taiwan.
